Advice I gave to me cousin that I wish i followed myself LOL

So I was telling my cousin some advice about her relationship problems. Its funny though, Everything i said to my cousin I wish I took my own advice when I was with my ex!!! LOL

Why do most people hold onto a relationship that isnt making them happy? (especially women) The answer is simple yet complicating LOL

A lot of people have the mentality "Oh what if i regret it?" "What if I never find someone that I'll be happy with" "I've been in a relationship for so long what if I'm not happy single?" We have those what if questions. Those are the questions that keep us in an unhappy relationship. Stop thinking of those WHAT IF'S!!! I think most people should learn how to make themselves happy before the step into a relationship and expect the perfect person to come along make them happy. Like how you going to be happy with someone else when you don't know how how to make your own self happy?

Social Media

So at work we have this yearly thing called Summer Institute with Media X. Its funny because I'va been working here at Stanford for almost a year and for my department I really didn't know what it was. All I know is my job. Which is file things, do errands, clean, make orders, put things into the computer, and alot more other stuff.

Today while doing registration for thes whole Summer Institute thing I asked my boss "what exactly is Media X" (that's the name of my department) In short terms it is a social media reasearching thing. Basically a temp agencies for Media reasearch. I was like oh cool. I got to hear bits and pieces of the some of them lectures. It was all basically is how is Social Media was back then and what it is now.

For those of you who dont know what social media is, here is a small summery:

Social media are media for social interaction, using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques. Social media use web-based technologies to transform and broadcast media monologues into social media dialogues. They support the democratization of knowledge and information and transform people from content consumers to content producers. Andreas Kaplan and Michael Haenlein define social media as "a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0, and that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated content."[1] Businesses also refer to social media as user-generated content (UGC) or consumer-generated media (CGM). Social media utilization is believed to be a driving force in defining the current period as the Attention Age. A common thread running through all definitions of social media is a blending of technology and social interaction for the co-creation of value.
Social media have been modernized to reach consumers through the internet. Social media have become appealing to big and small businesses. Credible brands are utilizing social media to reach customers and to build or maintain reputation. As social media continue to grow, the ability to reach more consumers globally has also increased. Twitter, for example, has expanded its global reach to Japan, Indonesia, and Mexico, among others. This means that brands are now able to advertise in multiple languages and therefore reach a broader range of consumers. Social media have become the new "tool" for effective business marketing and sales.[2] Popular networking sites including Myspace, Facebook and Twitter are social media most commonly used for socialization and connecting friends, relatives, and employees. I took this of wikipedia LOL. I didnt know how to explain it.

I was lucky enough they sent me to watch the interview of what some of these people thought is social media. The first social media was the printing press. And look to where we got to now, and it will only evolve from there. The power of the media. Its funny. The people I that I work with actually studies what we use for social netoworking. They study the people that use it.

For example facebook. The main age range that uses it is from 10-60years old. What they do is study the people that use it for bussiness, to just connect with friends, or whatever.

I Cant Sleep

Have you ever gave someone hella good advice and realize you should be following your own advice? I think the people who give good ass advice are the ones who either has been through it or either wants to do what they are saying but cant so they tell someone else who needs the advice to do it. I have realized that myself. I am here telling my "cousin" what I would do in her situation, but I am in her situation wishing i can do what I am trying to advice her to do. The irony right? LOL. Some how I can just grasp it and do it myself!

If I could have things my way. OMG!!! The world better prepare for it!!! LOL. I really dont know what I'm writing about. I just couldnt sleep so im blogging. But I'm yawning alot now LOL. I have work at 7:30 AM. Why am I still up!

I just got done watching meet the browns. It was a good movie I guess. I wanna watch the why did I get married one now.

I need to get into reading again. It was always a short vacay from life. Reading the stories and just imagining.

OMG. I'm going to sleep now. I am too tired LOL

SINGLE!!!!...YES I AM!!!!

Yes you read the title right. I am single. Me and carlo broke up like end of May. All I have to say about that is GOODBYE to that relationship and IT ENDED BAD...Just in case he reads this...which i doubt he will I wont put what happened. You guys can probably already guess though.

Well since the brake up, I've just been keeping busy. Its now what July 20, 2010. Hell no I'm still not mopping around that stupid brake up. I;ve been through a worse break up before. It didnt kill me and most certainly this one isnt either. I admit though I was depressed for like a little over a week. But that stage has passed LOL. I'm enjoying this single life. No stress, no fighting, no one to judge me! Well people do judge me. I just don't care anymore.

I went to San Diego last month. Went for Girl's thing. Drove down with nowell , met sha and candice down there. Might I say it was ALOT of fun. Sorry Nowell if your reading this for almost getting us killed when we were passing by camp pedenlton because of my driving!!! LOL...That was the end of my whole depression stage LOL

I had so much fun in San Diego. We went to On the Broadway and Club Ivy. I met "Ohio" who was a hottie. Btw his real name is John LOL. I name my men from what state they came from LOL. Pretty soon i should be naming them by cities LOL.

Like I said, I've been keeping busy. For two weeks straight after comming home from San Diego I've been going out like crazy. Clubbing, chillin, EATING..ETC LOL. No need to be sad over someone that isnt sad over me.

Yes I enjoyed the time me and him shared together and I wont regret any of it. Carlo wasnt my first boyfriend, but my first in alot of ways. He was yesturday. Its a different day. New people will be met, I'll fall in love all over again with someone else. All I can do now is upgrade. Look, hieght, and money wise LOL. And of course someone who would treat me right most importantly.

Its funny. You never realize how cute someone is untill you brake up with their friend!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You also never realize how much eye candy is there!!! LOL

I have higher expectations for the next guy I date:

1. MUST be taller then me with my heels AND hair LOL

2. MUST be older then me by AT THE LEAST 2 years (that's always been a rule LOL)

3. must be working in a stable job or going to school for a major that makes money

4. must sing

5. Treat me right

6.NO record of cheating

7. MUST be black or white or mixed...NO MORE FILIPINOS FOR ME!!! LOL

I think thats all for now that I can think of LOL.

I will be enjoying this single life though. This weekend...parties in stockton. Next weekend Candice and Tania is comming from San diego and Salted Caramel part 3 LOL (Salted caramel is a whole nother blogg!!! LOL). HOPEFULLY San diego again in Sept. Rally is also in Sept. Tracy is comming from Hawaii!!!...Havent seen that chick in YEAR!!!...the in Oct. Vegas TWICE!!! LOL

If I wasnt single I wouldnt be able to do any of that!!! Or met wonderful new people!!! I would still be miserable with carlo tryna get him to give me some attention!

I've been thinking of breaking up with him for a while before I found out everything. I wasnt happy.. I was always sad. I always covered it up good though with everybody else. I always pretended like nothing was wrong. When there was a whole shit load of things. The long distance was bad for the both of us. When apart (which was most of the time) we were people we didnt like. But together we were GREAT. But in the end, those great times didnt matter. It ended
